My wife introduced me to New Mexican food a few years ago and my lunch here today quickly went to the top of my favorite list.
The carne adovada plate was perfect!  Just the right amount of kick.
Like another review mentioned, the look and feel is nothing to get excited about, but you are here for the food, and that you can get excited about.

Placed an order for pick up.
There are two entrances, one to the restaurant seating and the other for pick up. Great idea, that way you're not in the way of ones waiting in line to sit.
What I ordered is what I got.
Encountered 2 employees for the pick area and they did their job. They weren't rude and they weren't nice, neutral.
I did ask for dressing and the male employee asked what I want. I asked for thousand island he replied we don't have thousand island. I asked what they have and he replied just ranch. I laughed but he was serious. So I said I'll take it.
Looks like he was busy so he walked away quickly.
I ordered steak taco salad. It was good. It comes with a side of guacamole, sour cream, cheese dip & salsa. The wrapping was great. They use a plastic wrap because they don't have a big enough container. Which I thought was a great idea.
Before I ordered I read the reviews and saw the photos of the food.

Went in this morning and we apparently were invisible. No one acknowledged us after we sat down. The host was going to get us two kids menus but never came back. I went up to ask him about them and he said he'd have to check in the back Becky they didn't have any up front. Then.......still nothing. No servers. No kids menus. We could tell this was going to be bad so we got up and left. Not sure they even noticed. Too bad. The food at this place is usually very goof.

Update: I sent the manager my address as requested in his response, telling him that we weren't looking for free food but if he wanted to give us another opportunity here it was. I never received anything from them.

Cocina Azul is very popular and it is close to where I live. I wanted a breakfast burrito to cut in half so I could eat a little now and save some for later. There was an extra $2 charge for being a small order so I ordered the component parts of a breakfast burrito figuring I might freeze it or something.
I was not entirely pleased with what I got. There was cheese poured on top of the burrito. The menu gave no warning of that. The egg was an odd green color. I was weirded out by that.
I tried making a breakfast burrito from the other meal. The tortilla was covered in butter. I used all the napkins to clean that off as much as I could.
The bacon was EXTREMELY salty. I washed it. That helped some. I did my best to make a burrito. The insides fell out all over so I ate fast. Now I feel nauseous. Not wanting to throw up; I decided to lie down and stay still. All in all, not the experience I was hoping for. If you can go near cheese, like salt and can handle chili, this is probably your kind of place.
